Suzaku Broadband Spectroscopy Of The Black Hole Candidate Swift J1753.5-0127
Abstract
SWIFT J1753.5-0127 is the candidate Galactic black hole binary (BHB) with the shortest orbital period of all of the BHBs detected to date. We present Suzaku X-ray observations of SWIFT J1753.5-0127 in the low-hard state. The broadband coverage of Suzaku enables us to detect the source over the energy range 0.4 -- 300 keV. The broadband spectrum (2 - 300 keV) is found to be consistent with a simple powerlaw (Γ ∼ 1.65). In agreement with previous observations of this system, a significant excess of soft X-ray flux consistent with the presence of a cool accretion disc (kT ∼ 0.2 keV) near the ISCO is measured. We do not detect any significant disc reflection features. We will discuss the implications of these observations for models of the accretion flow in the low-hard state.
